Yow-Ting Hsieh, also known as Iris Hsieh, is an award-winning pianist from Taipei, Taiwan. Recognized for her exceptional artistry and expressive performances, she has captivated audiences across Europe and Asia with her compelling interpretations and technical brilliance.

Hsieh has performed as a soloist with renowned orchestras such as the Bochumer Symphoniker under Maestro Tung-Chieh Chuang, the Loh-Orchester Sondershausen under Henning Ehlert, the TfN-Philharmonie Hildesheim under Panagiotis Papadopoulos & Achim Falkenhausen, and the INSO-Lviv Orchestra under Alexander Zemtsov. Her performances have taken her to prestigious venues across the world, including the Philharmonie Mercatorhalle Duisburg, Kaiserpfalz Goslar, Stadttheater Hildesheim, and Anneliese Brost Musikforum Ruhr Bochum in Germany, Teatro Jofre in Ferrol, Spain, and YAMAHA Hall in Milan, Italy. As a regular performer at Gesellschaft für Musiktheater Wien in Austria, she continues to engage audiences with her dynamic and insightful musical interpretations.

Her remarkable musicianship was internationally recognized in 2017 when she won a major prize at the International Brahms Competition in Pörtschach, Austria. Her interpretation of Brahms’ Paganini Variations and Brahms' First Piano Concerto also earned her the Special Prize for an Outstanding Performance of a Brahms Work, solidifying her reputation as a distinguished interpreter of the Romantic repertoire.

Hsieh's academic journey reflects her dedication to musical excellence. She obtained her Konzertexamen Zertifikat with distinction from Folkwang Universität der Künste in Germany under the guidance of Prof. Henri Sigfridsson. Prior to that, she earned her Master’s Diploma and Certificate of Performance with excellence from Musik und Kunst Privatuniversität der Stadt Wien, studying under Prof. Klaus Sticken. She also spent a year at Konservatorium Wien Privatuniversität and was admitted to Taipei National University of the Arts in 2011 due to her outstanding performance and achievements. Additionally, she has refined her artistry through masterclasses with renowned pianists such as Ingolf Wunder, Arie Vardi, Cyprien Katsaris, Bernd Goetzke, and Alexander Jenner.


Beyond her performance career, Hsieh is deeply committed to music education. As the founder of MustListen Studio, she is dedicated to concert management and mentoring aspiring musicians. She serves as a piano lecturer at Taipei ChinShin Academy and collaborates as a pianist for the Taipei European School Staff Social Community Choir, nurturing the next generation of musicians with her expertise and passion.

In addition to her work in performance and education, Hsieh explores the intersection of music and media as a radio host and program planner for Music Factory on the Police Broadcasting Service, National Police Agency. Through her radio work, she brings engaging musical content to a wider audience, further demonstrating her versatility as an artist.

With a career that spans solo performance, orchestral collaborations, education, and artistic outreach, Yow-Ting Hsieh continues to leave a profound impact on the global music scene, captivating audiences and inspiring musicians worldwide.
