"The Seasons" — Sunrise and Sunset, Twelve Months in Time

Tchaikovsky’s The Seasons is like a mirror reflecting the passage of time. The piano gently traces the contours of the Russian landscape, moving from the harsh winter of January to the festive warmth of December. Each piece embodies the rhythm of everyday life, as if the piano itself whispers and sings, telling the story of how the seasons propel time forward.

"The Island" — Rooted in Home, Roaming the World

The Taiwanese folk songs Longing for the Spring Breeze and Four Seasons Red are echoes from the homeland, a call from the past. These familiar melodies have accompanied generations, and now, through the piano’s interpretation, they transform into flowing notes—bridging time and space, evoking nostalgia, and creating new memories.

"The Wind" — Shrouded in Mist, Racing Across the Skies

The wind is unseen music—it drives the world forward and gives sound its breath. César Franck’s Prélude, Fugue et Variation was originally composed for the organ, an instrument whose voice is shaped by air. Like the wind, the music is both delicate and profound, sometimes whispering, sometimes surging. In the final variations, it embodies endless possibilities, carrying us toward uncharted horizons.

From the passage of the seasons to the echoes of an island’s memory, and finally to the ever-changing wind, each piece in this program is a painting, a poem, a journey. When the music begins, do you hear your own story unfold?
